Pedestrian Struck, Killed In Pennridge

A pedestrian was struck and killed in front of the White Horse Inn in Pennridge last week, authorities said on Tuesday, Aug. 13.

On Friday, Aug. 9, Pennridge Regional police officers were dispatched to the intersection of Ridge Road and Old Bethlehem Pike. When officers arrived, they found a white Toyota Camry had struck a pedestrian as the man was crossing Ridge Road. 

The pedestrian was identified as Peter Gehring, of Sellersville.

The pedestrian received serious injuries and was transported to Grand View Hospital for medical treatment but died of his injuries, police said.

The operator of the Toyota Camry stopped at the scene and is fully cooperating with the police investigation, they said.
